I'm a Californian attending college in New Haven, CT. I love food, fashion, travel, music, books, painting, tinkering on the piano, and playing the violin (or letting Itzhak do it instead).
I'm just starting to find my ground as a cook and baker as I finish up my junior year of college, and I try to make something whenever I can, as my massive reading and paper-ing schedule permits. I've taken to carrying my camera (just a Panasonic digital, nothing fancy) around with me, in case I find or make something delicious. This blog is supposed to be college-cook friendly. Thanks for reading!
I have given each recipe I make ratings on time, difficulty, and cost--three issues college students and busy young professionals have with cooking. These tags can be found under the "Labels" links.
Time is rated on a scale of 1 (30 min. or less) to 5 (a few hrs.) Difficulty on a scale of 1 a(no prior cooking experience needed) to 5 (Wolfgang Puck, get in here, stat!) Cost on a scale of $ to $$$$ based on what is reasonable for the dish. For example, $2.50 is a rather pricey splurge for me on one chocolate truffle, so I would give it a $$$.
